Abstract

The purpose of this study analized the Ömer Syfettin’s work, İt’s named “Yüksek Ökçeler”.The author enables us an evaluation of the social relationships of the period which is based on the work’s hero’s relationships. The story is a critiQue of social problems and formalistic western life style in the period. For this evaluation , used the method of critical discourse analysis of Teun Van Dijk
