Abstract
Attitudes and behaviours of employees towards the business have become a subject of research in almost every sector in recent years. The cost of personnel leaving the job is high for employers. For this reason, various efforts are made by managers to reduce this rate as much as possible. Among these efforts, ensuring organisational loyalty and creating commitment to the profession have been the subject of this study. In the research, professional commitment and organisational loyalty, which are considered as two variables that will be effective in reducing turnover intention, are discussed in the context of health care workers. The research was conducted on the sample selected by convenience sampling method among the employees working in health institutions in Üsküdar district of Istanbul. The data collected by questionnaire technique were analysed with SPSS software. As a result of the research, it was seen that the organisational loyalty and professional commitment of the employees in the sample were moderate and their turnover intention was low. In addition, it has been observed that organisational loyalty and professional commitment reduce turnover intention.
